Filmmaker, graduated with honors in Film Production from The New School University - New York (1999), with his diploma revalidated in Cinema & Video in 2009 by the Federal Fluminense University (UFF).

In recent decades, working in Brazil and the United States, Marcelo has been producing, directing, editing, and filming documentaries, TV programs, music videos, institutional and promotional videos for companies, film production companies, and cultural and artistic partners.

In 2005, in Rio de Janeiro, he founded Metaimagem Audiovisual Productions, a company that introduced him to the Brazilian audiovisual market.

His focus has been on artistic and human rights works. More recently, he has been developing partnerships with the indigenous peoples of Brazil.
